You may have spotted him just off the northbound on-ramp to Interstate 5 from Avery Pkwy: Jake Blues of the Blues Brothers standing on the rear balcony of Audi Mission Viejo, belting out silent soul music to the passing freeway traffic.

Okay, we know it’s not really Jake, just a realistic, life-size statue of the character memorably played by the late John Belushi on "Saturday Night Live" and in the 1980 movie The Blues Brothers.

The folks at Audi Mission Viejo say they have no information about the statue or how it got there. It's likely that folks who work at the dealership don't even know the statue exists on the rear balcony of the parking garage.

Makes you wonder how "Joliet" Jake would feel about the situation. Here he is, frozen in time without his brother Elwood—played by Dan Aykroyd—or the band as the world speeds by, unable to fulfill his “mission from God.”
