The 360° view from Canaveras Ridge Walk Trail, the highest point in Mission Viejo, offers a striking reminder of just how compact and connected Southern California’s landscape really is.

To the west, the view stretches past Irvine and Newport Beach all the way to Catalina Island. Turn east, and the Santa Ana Mountains rise in the distance.

What makes it remarkable is the scale: from this single vantage point, you’re looking roughly 30 miles in either direction — from the Pacific Ocean to the mountains — all visible from one of Mission Viejo’s best overlooks.
