You don’t have to be an accomplished quilter or sewist to participate in Mission Viejo Library’s Community Quilt project celebrating America’s 250th anniversary.
All quilters, sewists and community members of all skill levels are invited to contribute a quilt block that will become part of a community commemorative quilt. Whether you're an experienced quilter or brand new to sewing, this is a fun and meaningful way to be part of a historic project!
The deadline for submitting your block is August 31. Not all contributions will be used, and contributors won't know if their block has been used until the final commemorative quilt is unveiled this fall.
How to Participate
Create one nine-patch quilt block using 2½" squares. Each block will be combined with others to form a large quilt inspired by the American flag. Please choose designs that are family-friendly and celebrate our community. Your submitted block should measure approximately 6½" x 6½" unfinished.
